Tea Forte' Review

Tea Forte' "Tea over Ice" is a beautiful and TASTEful idea.  After opening the carefully packaged Brewing Pitcher Tea Set, and smelling the wonderful scents in the 12 Over - Ice Portico collection, I was excited to try it out for myself.

The larger pitcher on the bottom is filled with ice. The smaller top pitcher is filled with steaming water. Placing the pyramid tea bag in the hot water and steeping for 2-3 minutes, you can have amazing flavored tea. The adorable metal stem and paper leaf atop the tea bag, slide through the hole of the steeping jar's lid and hold the tea bag in an upright position. The first tea I tried was the Pomegranate Blueberry black tea. The smell was fantastic and it darkened quickly.

After I waited the 2-3 minutes I gently held onto the lid and poured the tea over the ice, flash chilling it into iced tea. The flavor was actually quite strong. I filled a glass for drinking and added some more water to the pitcher. This made the tea go farther and more to enjoy. I also dried out the tea bag on the counter and used it a second time. The second brew was not as strong which I preferred. So for the frugal ones, this can be done and worked just fine.

The tea flavor was wonderful and very refreshing. I was very impressed with the concept of this ice tea maker. I own another ice tea maker which is all plastic. As our house is trying to get away from harsh chemicals and unnecessary plastics in our life, this was a great switch.

The second brewed pitcher or flavor I tried, I must say has got to be my favorite tea of all times! And I am not just saying that. The bright red tea shown here is the Raspberry Nector tea. The picture on the website showed it to be a bright beautiful red and they were not exaggerating. My parents stopped by just after brewing a pot and my dad gave it a try. I told him it reminded me of a crystal light type drink and he said it was much better. I agree..... because it's natural, has no artificial flavoring, and no high fructose corn syrup.

My husband made comment, the Raspberry tea would work great as a mixer for an alcoholic beverage. Yes, the flavor is that yummy. Even unsweetened!! In searching through Tea Forte's site I found they do indeed make mixer teas called Cocktail Infusions. You infuse the tea bag in the alcohol and then pour over ice. I will have to give this one a try! Less calories and sugar when using a straight alcohol such as a gin. And better for you than all those chemical filled mixers.

Not only does Tea Forte' have amazing teas, but they offer a wide variety of iced tea glasses, bar wear and martini glasses, mugs and full serving sets with trays. Not to mention the tea pots and kettles. I was intrigued by the Capresso Glass Water Kettle. Again, trying to stay away from plastic tea pots or heating water in the microwave, this is an alternative to those bad habit and chemical infused ways of living. I believe this will be next on my list of must haves.

And I can't forget to mention their Skin Smart teas. These teas work with your bodies chemistry to protect and nourish your skin from within. Many cancer patients, in-particular, deal with skin issues due to treatments, or like me, lack of estrogen.  Early menopause can dry out your skin and cause flaking and peeling. Drinking teas good for your skin can help combat this every day skin battle.  These teas will help with your skins elasticity, density, texture and hydration.

Tea Forte' is a lovely place to shop online and find all you need for natural tea brewing at home. I recommend this company 100% and hope you enjoy your tea!
