In the City of Grand Rapids, Michigan they are entering their 3rd year of what is called Art Prize. Artists from all over the country, and sometimes the world travel, to Grand Rapids to display their art and win money. Most art sells after the event is over and Grand Rapids proudly displays the winner and that art is kept in town. In honor of the start of Art Prize, I wanted to share another story of what Kohl's is doing in Southeast Wisconsin.
Kohl’s Department Stores are Supporting the Fight against Breast Cancer with a National Ribbon Sculpture Auction!
Seventeen artist-designed ribbon sculptures which are to be auctioned off starting this weekend, Sept. 24 through Oct. 4, to benefit the Southeast Wisconsin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. I think it's perfect timing as West Michigan's Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is also this Saturday September 24th.
Susan G. Komen has welcomed me with open arms and provided me with so many opportunities in getting my story out. I am so thankful to them and will continue to introduce you to special events all over the United States.
Please watch this video below on how these Cancer Ribbons were created and learn more about the artists. Thank you to Khol's in Southeast Wisconsin for this amazing event.
If you would like to bid on one of these ribbons check out Kohl's Cares Ribbons.com.
