Monday was four weeks from the surgery. I am still standing strong, although I walk a little crooked from the meds. But I have cut way back. I gave up the Morphine after about a week and am on Advil but can't quite give up the Valium yet as it's a muscle relaxer and those new implants are right under the chest muscle. Things are healing the best they possibly can. I give all glory to God. And to the Born Clinic who is pumping me full of vitamins!
I wake every morning to a set list I made of 33 songs that worship HIM for all He has done for me. It gets me through my day! I encourage each of you church goers to worship at home, not just in those four walls. God hears us sing 24/7!
I wanted to share a few things which have happened since the surgery. I have been to three appointments to the Plastic Surgery Associates (PSA) to have my temporary implants "filled". The first two times were only 30 cc's each visit. The first time I still had my drain tubes and we were trying to push more fluid through those tubes. The second was to pump up a bit and have the last of the fluid be absorbed by my body. And the third?......
Well, last Friday the 10th and my birthday. I turned 37. I thought since we had done 30 cc's both times before it would be fun to do 37 cc's. My plastic surgeon really gave me a birthday present. As they push in the cc's through a large syringe, we actually talked and laughed. It doesn't hurt, its' just like someone wrapping you with a large rubber band. As more goes in, I feel the tightness and that's about it. When Doc hit 40 cc's she asked how I was doing. The other nurse counts outloud (1,2,3,4,5,....) to keep everyone on track due to all the chatter. When they got to 50, I thought oh boy this is really getting tight. And then bam. She said 6! "Happy Birthday". 60 cc's. Needless to say I did not make an appointment to go the following week but to go in two weeks. Which is this coming Friday. I am still quite tight around the chest area but I know this is what I really want to do.
I am healed by the one and only God and want to look healed, healthy and whole to be able to show off his Glory to others. I am changing a ton of my diet which I can't wait to share and all the other organic life changes. So.....
Tomorrow I will be starting my standard blogging and organic giveaways again. I am journaling about my experience, and at some point, will make that available to those interested. Thank you so much for your patience.
I am also adding my personal link to the Susan G. Komen site. Please read my new founded reason for walking, and pray about donating. I don't believe it's all about raising money, but more the awareness of this wonderful life we can all have if we just reach out and grab it. It all belongs to Him and He loves each and everyone of us!
