Surviving Breast Cancer

This will be my most personal post to date......

I finally announced to my Facebook family my recent diagnosis of Breast Cancer and wanted to share with my YHH readers.  Just five weeks ago,  I was diagnosed with Stage 1 BC at age 36.

My family and I are praising God it was caught early and HE is my healer and provider. Through surgery, I will have it under my control. Yet, I believe it's already under HIS control. Then comes a strict diet, organic lifestyle, and continued exercise. I will be, and already am, a survivor.

You all have been such amazing and loyal readers and I thank you! But what does this all mean for YHH? Your Happy Hearts will be taking yet another change in direction.

YHH has had several different visions. From diet and exercise for just women, to more advanced workouts and being directed towards men as well. Finally I started Tuff Phit.com (which will continue to  run more fitness based articles). YHH recently went back all pink just prior to my diagnosis and I now believe this was a God led idea.

As I searched online for answers, I found sites set up for women to talk and cry about their life changing doctor visit. I felt it in my heart to use the Your Happy Hearts.com platform to allow women of FAITH to comment and encourage one another. I will continue to find products, share my diet changes, and feelings as they are discovered through God's word. If you have worked with YHH as a business, we will continue to keep the links that are fitting here on YHH. Or they may be exclusive to Tuff Phit. But don't worry. I love all the companies which we are still linking too, and that will continue.

I understand these changes may push some of my readers away. If you do go, I understand. But if you stay, there will still be great information for all of you. Please remember, this will be a huge change for YHH. But I must get the word out that no matter your age, if you feel the push to get a mammogram.... you should! Don't wait till your 40. For me, that would have been too late!

The ribbon you see is the Walking Ribbon from the Susan G. Komen foundation. I am going to be walking the Race for a Cure this coming September (more to come on that later). You will see donation links on the sidebar of YHH if you are feeling pressed to give. Thank you for reading and I hope to provide more amazing information in the months to come!

I will probably not be posting until after the 1st of June.

From my heart to yours, ~Angie Christine.
