Green Tea Protein Shake

This is coming to you from the April edition of Oxygen Magazine. I thought it sounded yummy and wanted to share with my readers.



Green Tea Protein Shake:
1 large cup Green Tea, steeped from two tea bags
2/3 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
1 tbsp ground Flaxseed
1 scoop Vanilla Whey Protein Powder (name brand of choice)
Pinch of cinnamon
Ice cubes

Place all ingredients into blender and blend till smooth. Oxygen suggests drinking half before your workout and half after for recovery. Sounds like a great idea to me.

( Ingredient information will vary depending on the type of whey protein powder you use. )

I love tea, but never tried making a shake of green tea and my fave whey protein supplement. How does it taste? I still want to taste the tea rather than the supplement.
