I wanted to share my experience with Victoria Jackson's make-up. I was not approached by the company to write this review, I have simply found it on my own. I should say I found it thanks to Sam's Club and the special they are running. (Call your local Sam's for tour dates). PLEASE READ FOLLOW UP REVIEW POSTED 05/15/2011.
I am typically searching for more organic based products to use on my skin, thus the start of www.greenorganicdiet.com. But when shopping in Sam's Club a few days ago, there stood a huge display of Victoria Jackson Cosmetics. It said the "No Make-up" Make-up. I just had to check it out. I had never heard of this brand before. (Maybe I am the only one. She is a makeup artist to the stars and a best selling author). After a demonstration at Sam's I went home and checked out Victoria Jackson's website. I found the cost of the kits they were selling at Sam's Club and I rushed back the next day. This was too good to pass up.
This is the survival kit. It has eye pencil, lip pencil, mascara, 10 eyeshadows, 5 lip glosses, 2 blush, brushes, and mirror. Folds up, clicks shut and is made to travel through an airport snug in your purse. Or with you on a daily basis. It also came nicely packaged in a protective case with magnet closure if you are like me and like to keep your packaging. I was impressed. This retails for $110 on the site. Right now at your participating Sam's club you get this for $26.95. But.....it also comes with the following free.....
This is the shimmer powder brush bronzer. Retails for $32.00. It is refillable. You want to put powder foundation or more bronzer of another brand in. Which I really like the glitter on this and am impressed also. There is a built in clear plastic tube that slides up the brush to keep it intact. That was a bonus.
Then you also receive a compact called Exotic Eyes which is not on her site. It has six more eye colors and two creme eye liners; brown and black. The case is gorgeous and has a huge mirror. On her site, her eye and lip kits, which I found to be comparible are around $49.00. So I would guess that would be the price of the Exotic set as well.
So this smaller set at Sam's is about $191 worth of stuff for only $26.95. You just can't beat that.
When I went in the first day the sales woman showed me the smaller set. Then when I went the next day and decided to purchase a kit for myself and my friend, she told me about the second kit. You got all I just mentioned above plus......for $56.95.
Additional items in larger kit include: Essentials Face color kit. I would say it's close to the one shown above, but slightly different for promotional reasons I am sure. The case is more of a rubber feel where the other cases are high-gloss black. This kit has nine more eye shadows, two huge lip glosses, and two large blushes. This retails for $69.00 on line.
The Pocket Palette is very cute as well. (shown above) There are four creme to powder eye shadows and two more lip glosses. The eye shadows are cool because they are very shimmery but have a dry feel and seem to really stay on. This retails for $48.00 on line.
The final item is a brush set in a roll case with snap. The brushes are high quality and comfortable in your hand. I love the lip brush (far right). When the cap is taken off you don't see the brush as it is down inside. But when you put the cap on the back end of the brush (as pictured above) it pushes the brush up and out. This keeps the gooy lip gloss from getting all over the other brushes. Very clever.
This retails for $44.00 on line.
So now you are talking about $352 worth of make-up (give or take a few dollars) for $56.95. I was so impressed I just had to share with my readers.
Both sets shown above, come with a small spiral bound book with tabs to each part of your face and instructions on how to do proper make-up applications. These are tips from her best selling books rolled into one small one. Bonus!
We try everyday to take care of ourselves and be healthy. So feeling good and looking good is important to us. I knew you would be impressed too.
Let me know if you rush out and get one and what you think. Happy shopping.

I just bought this kit yesterday (at Sams as well)...I am a hard sell but the price is un believable!! It appears to be very high quality makeup. I am excited about using it!
I also bought a kit today.
I just about walked away until she said the magic words "80%" off.
The kit I got has 27/7 makeover portfolio which has bronzing powder,3 day neutral eye shadows, day perfecting blush, 2 lip color sheets, shimmer power, 3 evening glamor shadows, evening perfecting blush 2 lip color sheets, black and mahogany lip/eye duo pencil, black mascara, faux leather carry all pouch, kabuki brush, shine n go lip gloss trio ,sun kissed bronzing power, and eyes have it eye shadow basics.
All for $39.99
That's funny, because I bought the same kit from some people selling it through a special promotion in Milwaukee (they actually had set up a stand on the street). It looked like such a great deal, that I went for it, but I have been REALLY dissapointed with the lip stick colors and the consistency. This stuff is awful! I couldn't regret more the $45 I spent on this make up!
This stuff is cheap crap, people are selling this stuff door to door. It's made in china says so right on the back of the stuff I bought. Its like kids make-up, little pigmentation and worse then drug store generic make-up. Beware it's worthless.
i just brought this product for €30off a door to door salesman for my girlfriend for christmas. now i read on other website that is product is a load of rubblish. so i just want to know will my girlfriend like the present or should i keep shopping??
I just bought mine for £45 and i think it is a great buy...
I bought this kit from a stand in a shopping centre in the summer and love it. I am now running out of the sun kissed bronzer and I am very upset that I cannot find anywhere in Leeds to buy some more.
Please can anyone let me know. Thanks
I just paid £18 in Euston train station for the set of mini lip gloss, 3 creme eye shadows, the bronzer brush and the set of brushes. Plus a silly little instuction book. I'm now on the train wondering if I was ripped off. At the end of the day they probably have told a few lies and I doubt it will be in house of Fraser next month as the girl promised but I just got all of that for £18!! Don't think I could get all of that of a Market for that price!! I've tried one of the lipgloss and it's nice and the creme eye shadows have worked well on my hand. Will be trying them out tonight!! Even if they are lying i don't have loads of money to spend on mac etc so I think I got a bargain!!
i got the brush set and a eye shawdow set that and 4 lip glosses last year for christmas and i didnt like the lip glosses at all but for the eyeshadow i really liked and still use everyday it has everything in there to do every type of eye look also the eyeshawdow came with lip glosses and blush again hate the lipgloss but i really like the pink blush it came with the brushes are the same brushes from the picture above and i use them everyday but i found after a year the handles come off and the conclear brush starts getting a little outter of place but they still work great so i have found
I also just got this kit from Sam's club and have mixed feelings. I don't like that it has parabens (not so natural) and is made in China. The design of the compact is cute and I love the colors, however, they do not stay on long. I guess for $40, what would one expect?
Hey everyone, I am a representative for Victoria Jackson makeup line not in America nor the UK but in the tropics, Barbados to be exact. It is killing me to see on every site that I go on, some person or persons are saying that the Victoria Jackson makeup that they bought or got from where ever is either "crap" or that it is some scam that is going round. For those of you that use the expensive MAC, black opal, etc, that bear in mind give you rash or what ever cause I can testify to it cause I was indeed a victim cause I used it while was on the catwalk cause I was told that it was good for me because my skin is sensitive, but guess what I started getting breakouts and had to, had to, had to stop. Then there was Victoria Jackson a makeup line coming to my country that is hypoallergenic and mineral bases and I had not a clue that there was a makeup by the name but guess what I tried it and found out that it was some dam good s*^t now that is all I use. I ma physically killing the baby doll lip colors and the ultimate eye shadows. So all you guys and gals that are buying keep on buying because you know what, MAC nor the others do not give you quality and quantity at the same time and you know what you are getting value for your money. So get Victoria Jackson makeup as gifts for friends and your self.
Debz
Can somebody tell me where they paid the full price for this? If it is being discounted by 80%, it is worth 20%. I have a pair of shoes I am wearing right now that I will sell for $300, but I will give you a deal for $30. Sorry for being cynical, just had a hard sell for this product a few hours ago, so went online to do some research. Didn't buy, but my friend did. Will let you know how it goes.
Does anyone happen to know where one could purchase VJ cosmetics at this time???!!! I was approached at my workplace (Retail -in a mall) by a saleswomen who offered a sweet combo deal. I then wondered if it was a too good to be true situation ;my gut warned me to test/examine throughly)everything seemed to be great and afterwards was! But I have searched high and low to try to purchase more and can't turn up her complete line anywhere:S .I also visted the website vjcosmetics and its apparently under construction :S
If anyine has any info. please advise~ Thank You
I got a VJ survival kit a few days ago for what I thought was a good deal, with everything you need in one convenient case. It's a good concept, but unfortunately the makeup doesn't deliver on its promise. I didn't find it to be a good quality product, the consistency is poor, not very pigmented and comes off quite easily. I especially don't like the mascara, lip color and liner. The blushers and shadows are ok, but too light, so have to apply a few times to get desired effect. And finally, the applicators that come with it are basically useless.
So overall not a great purchase, I'm gonna try to get hold of the rep tomorrow to return the product. Unfortunately the reps are good at twisting peoples' arms by telling them VJ is a huge successful makeup artist who is going to open stores soon (from what I've read, she's been 'going to open stores soon' for a couple of years now) and is basically MAC makeup at lower prices. My own fault for being a bit naive there... all I can say is buyer beware. I wouldn't say it is a 'scam', but this product isn't what it actually appears to be. And no official website (at least one that works) is a bit suspicious, right? If you are use to using good quality products like MAC/Bobbi Brown, you're going to be quite disappointed.
I used Victoria Jackson foundation for many, many years and now cannot but it anywhere. I am in the process of finding a replacement and not having any luck. Can someone please tell me if the foundation, not the kits, is available anywhere? It is the best. I believe it has kept my skin looking young, the coverage is awesome and it is so natural looking. I absolutely need to find the foundation somewhere.
I have a ton of the product, email me if you're interested.

I have been buying VJ products from the girls and guys that stop you in the shopping centres for years. Gotta say they are the best! The mascara in the Survival kit is fabulous and my fave eye shadow has to be the deep purple one in the eyes have it compact... can'y find it anywhere :(
I've paid £30 for every kit I've bought and it's worth every penny.
xx em xx
hey guys she has a website!
www.victoriajacksonmakeup.co.uk
i have been given a code which will give you all the products for £30 i think!
its is: jam89
thanks! kaz xx
Buy the makeup, or don't, but PLEASE be kind to the product reps. Most of them have been lured into a direct marketing company with promises of opening and running their own companies. Most find themselves broke and in debt, because what the hiring folks forget to tell them is that less than 1% of the reps actually make it into management.
so how did the product go?
Review: I bought the travel essentials kit at Sam's for $20. I use make-up beyond foundation and mascara about four times a year so this seemed like a good way to get everything cheap to me. I have little experience with high end make-up so when I say it's didn't perform well that's compared to CoverGirl and Maybelline, not MAC.
The brushes are cheap and shed into the make-up with the first use. Additionally there are no instructions telling you what product to use with which brush. This kit contains only four eye shadows, four lip glosses, and four lip pallets but several of the brushes seem to be for powder or bronzer. Wasted money.
It also includes a travel mirror. It doesn't magnify, just a mirror. I guess it's a "value" add but it seems like clutter.
The lip pallets bled and feathered in under five minutes. The evening shimmer gave me a very nasty 80s frosted effect. I won't use them again.
The glosses are a bit sticky but they layer nicely for customized color. It's a gloss so I'm not expecting much for long lasting effect.
The eyeshadows are really faintly pigmented. I know it's supposed to be a "no make-up" look but by the time I get enough on to have something of a look the look is mostly caked wrinkles. It's not a great effect.
Most of the colors worked on my skin. I'm fairly pale and ruddy. I don't know that these shades would work as well on other skin tones.
The instruction booklet is useless. If you've ever read a teen magazine on make-up you've had better directions.
To sum up, I'd have been better off and saved money with one $8 lipstick and one $8 eye shadow kit from the drugstore.
Um, i'm actually a rep for Victoria Jackson make-up. We've just got new-product in for 2011!!! :D
email me pchul9@hotmail.com if your interested.
Please people...VJ is a very well worn scam.
Do you really think that ANYONE would consistently give away top quality products worth £200 for £30?
It is made in China, in a warehouse with very poor quality ingredients. It isn't hypo allergenic and is sometimes said but has actually been found to contain PARABENS - google it. Its toxic.
CSK marketing are the jokers behind VJ makeup - they tell their reps that they will end up with six figure salaries, promise them the earth and don't come up with the goods.
They have been saying they are introducing the product to the british market for the last FIVE YEARS...look closely in any reputable dept.store.
Any sign of VJ?
thought not.
Please don't buy this sh*t. If something seems to good to be true, then it is. Always.Everytime.
Lets chase these cowboys out of business!
I'm in America and fell for the scam I spent 20 bucks of my hard earned money to get chalky eyeshadow with no pigment and the rep said it was worth $80, ha it's full of bad parabens and bad ingredients, i wont wear this toxic junk.
Well I just got it as a gift and have never heard of it...scared to try it now! Yikes!!!
what are you people all moaning about? its £30 an yes it is worth £100 not £200 i am a vj sales rep in liverpool and all our products are what they say they are if it was a scam we would not be able to sell it on stalls in market places or go door 2 door sales! we do not force you to buy our products you do that out off your own free will!
