A few of my fabulous subscribers have asked what I look like. It’s finally that time where I am proud of my physical transformation. So I am changing my profile shot, to me! Coming Soon: My husband is going to help me with a series of photos, showing proper form for weight training and other variations of exercise movements. I hope you will try something new this year and keep going. Let me know how your work outs are going and you may be selected for a special gift, just from me. Keep up those comments. I would love to hear from all of you! P.S. This is the infamous husband who wishes to remain "unknown". He's a great guy but would rather be the support behind the camera. And yes, he knows the Lions are nothing to be proud of right now. But he's a die hard fan. :) Thanks hubby for all you do!. "Diamonds of gold baby, Diamonds of Gold."
First let me go back to the summer of 2008: My coworker was selling a tractor for a deal we couldn’t pass up. We brought the tractor home, washed it, and took pictures of our first time driving it. When I downloaded the photos, I was horrified. It was me driving the tractor with a muffin top!!! (For those of you who haven’t heard this expression, it simply looks like the top of a muffin, but it’s your fat squishing out over your pants.
I had seen this on myself only once before the previous spring of 2007 (but not this bad). My husband and I started the Body for Life program and did great all summer. But when last winter hit, we really got lazy. We cuddled in front of our wood stove with a movie every night, ate lots of popcorn (microwave extra butter), lots of pizza (frozen - high calorie), and Friday's frozen appetizers. One thing led to another. By this past summer Body for Life was no more and I was left with a new tractor and a muffin top.
My husband had already purchased P90X, had tried a few DVD’s over the summer, and was just prepping himself to hit it full on. (He has always loved fitness and working out. Me, not so much.) After seeing my horrible tractor shot, I knew I was nowhere near ready for P90 anything. With great encouragement, he bought me Jillian’s 30 Day Shred and we started earlier this past fall. After completing the 30 Day Shred and now being in week five (phase two) of P90X, I can honestly say I am really proud of where I am. This winter, no more microwave popcorn and frozen pizza. (We pop our own popcorn in brown paper bags and add light real butter and sea salt. Yum! We make pizza on flat bread with chicken and veggies.) So this is my new profile picture. Even though I hate having to show the tractor-muffin top picture, I want to be an encouragement to all of you. It doesn’t matter if you have 5, 10, 20, or even 100 pounds to lose. It’s not easy for any of us. The last 10 pounds are the hardest. I had to work hard from day one. And you can do it too.
Blessings, Taylor

You look beautiful! And, you give me hope.
Way to go.
Wow - you look great! Thank you for sharing the before and after photos. I'm so glad I found your blog.
You look fantastic!
My workouts aren't going so hot at the moment. I had toe surgery last month and couldn't walk for a week, and I still can't wear a shoe on that foot. That combined with the holiday madness and everyone handing me cookies = ugh! This month, my plan is to get back in the gym and just do upper body work until I can get into shoes again!
Happy new year!
